On the 3rd June 2006, I was booked to play for a wonderful group of mad-capped family and friends at the amazing Epsom Downs racecourse for Derby Day. This entailed taking an open top bus ride at 9am from Leatherhead golf club to the course, before setting up camp right by the finishing line for the day. Sadly, my part was over before the big race, but I have been re-booked by organiser Ian (www.aquajoy.org.uk) for next year's event for the whole day!

I was thrilled to be invited to play for this wonderful drinks reception and gala dinner at the Café Royal in Soho in aid of Vitalise, a charity that provides essential breaks for disabled people and carers. Special guests included Sir Garfield Sobers, Jenny Pitman OBE and darts legend Bobby George amongst a host of well known sports men and women.

The highlight from a musical perspective was performing Booker T and the MG's classic 'Soul Limbo' (forever associated with the BBC's TV cricket coverage) for the guest of Honour, cricketing giant, Sir Garfield Sobers.

I was playing once-a-month at Misty's Wine Bar and Restaurant in Littlehampton over the winter of 2006, helping to add a bit of tropical sunshine to the excellent food and wine on offer.
